Red Kettle Griffins Game Flyer (2023)

Challenge

A flyer was needed to advertise sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 annual Red Kettle Game.

Solution

An informational flyer was created in Canva that described the sponsorship opportunities and benefits.

Kent County Annual Report (2023)

Challenge

The Salvation Army in Kent County needed an updated Annual Report to share the impact of 2022 with community partners, stakeholders, and other interested parties.

Solution

A booklet was created for both print and digital media that captured the programs offered in Kent County, their benchmark achievements for 2022, and a map of our locations.

Christmas Sponsorship Booklet (2022)

Challenge

The Salvation Army in Kent County set a fundraising goal for the Red Kettle Campaign of 1.7 million dollars. A visual aid was needed to inform potential donors and educate on the impact of their donation.

Solution

An 8 page booklet was created in Publisher that could be provided to potential donors for events related to the Christmas campaign and that highlighted the impact of Salvation Army programs.

Volunteer Flyer (2022)

Challenge

A flyer was needed to recruit groups of volunteers to ring bells for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Solution

An information flyer was created in Canva that informed volunteers of the opportunity and contained all relevant information that they commonly ask.

Angel Tree Donation Site Promo Guide (2022)

Challenge

A redesigned promotional guide handout was needed for Angel Tree Toy Drive host sites to be enclosed with Angel Tree tag packets.

Solution

A flyer was created in Canva that informed Angel Tree Toy Drive host sites how they can support #AngelTree online and contained all relevant information that they commonly ask.

TRIO History Timeline Graphic (2022)

Challenge

The Grand Valley State University TRIO programs website did not have a history or informative about page. As a result participants, community partners, and inquiring individuals were unfamiliar with the term TRIO, its origin, and relevance to the programs.

Solution

To remedy the situation, I created a web page called “What is TRIO” in order to educate readers on the history, purpose, and importance of TRIO programs. I created this infographic timeline to visually represent the development of TRIO programs over time.

McNair Informational Flyer (2022)

Challenge

The Grand Valley State University McNair Program was scheduled to table parent orientations throughout the summer and needed a quick half-page introduction for the program for recruitment purposes.

Solution

A half-page handout was created in Canva with a custom QR Code that linked to the GVSU McNair Scholars Program website. The goal was to inform potential participants on the benefits and eligibility requirements of the program and to create a student recruitment tool.

Monomyth Graphic & Powerpoint (2020)

Challenge

I needed a customizable graphic of the Monomyth stages for my poster and power points. While several already existed on the web, none quite fit my needs. I wanted to be able to highlight each stage as I spoke about its relevance.

Solution

I created two versions of the Monomyth stages in Adobe, which allowed me to create the colored nodules. These nodules signified the current stage of discussion while visually signaling its order in the process.

Client Design Project: Alliance Property Solutions (2019)

Challenge

For my WRT 253 Client Project, I create a series of logo design options for Alliance Property Solutions, a newer small business start up that provided property management and rental maintenance in Holland, MI. The client wanted a logo that could grow with the company, incorporated their values, and could be used as a cornerstone for a future branding plan.
